How is this different from a manual application assessment followed by a separate test automation project?
A traditional assessment produces a static inventory — a point-in-time snapshot that is outdated before the ink is dry. QyrusAI’s Continuous Application Discovery updates the inventory in real time. And the connection between the code analysis (Modernize) and the test generation (Assure) is not a handoff — it is a shared Knowledge Graph. The code analysis output is the direct input to SEER’s test generation. There is no translation step, no manual test design phase, and no re-discovery needed when the application changes. One analysis feeds both the transformation roadmap and the regression suite.
Do we need to adopt both Modernize and Assure together, or can we start with one?
You can start with either pillar independently. Modernize delivers standalone value — Estate X-Ray, dependency mapping, prioritization scoring. Assure delivers standalone value — codeless test generation, SEER orchestration, self-healing regression. But the joint value — converting legacy code and immediately generating a tested regression suite from the same code analysis — requires both. How does this handle undocumented legacy code — systems where nobody knows how they actually work?
This is specifically what Modernize’s code analysis is designed for. It reads the code itself — not the documentation — and constructs the dependency map from what is actually there: class hierarchies, library dependencies, integration points, API calls. It works in the complete absence of documentation by design. The messier the estate, the more value the analysis provides — because that is exactly the scenario where transformation decisions without a dependency map cause go-live failures.
What happens to our existing test assets — manual scripts, Selenium suites, spreadsheet-based test cases?
QyrusAI ingests and analyses them as inputs to the conversion. You do not lose historical test intelligence; it becomes the foundation for the new codeless suite. Selenium scripts are converted to codeless tests in the optimal sequence determined by the code analysis. Spreadsheet-based test cases are imported and converted. Manual test cases are used as context for AI test generation. What you end up with is a codeless regression suite that reflects everything your existing assets knew — and self-heals as the application changes.
What does "equivalence proof" actually mean — how do we know the modernized system does the same thing the legacy system did?
SEER’s equivalence testing runs the same business process through both the legacy system and the modernized system and compares the outputs. For SAP, this includes IDoc processing, BAPI calls, and Lead-to-Cash flows. For Java / desktop applications, it includes UI flows, API responses, and data outputs. The test results — pass or fail — are logged as evidence. If the modernized system produces a different outcome, the conversion fails at that stage and Modernize adjusts the conversion path.
